The Pumpkin Patch........

On Thursday afternoon I had the chance to take Ethan and Carter to the Pumpkin Patch. We played in the barn, went on a hayride and finally did get our pumpkins purchased! They had a lot of fun there.

Field Trip...

......with Baby Talk to the Pumpkin Patch. It was a great temperature but very muddy. We made it on the hay ride and saw the guy juggle three pumpkins but then our attention span was over so a few friends went with us to McDonald's Playplace instead. At least that was mud free and contained. Not to mention the fact that it had real bathrooms. What an experience! Carter did go up into the tunnels for the first time and thank goodness for a great friend who was willing to climb up after him. He couldn't figure out what to do to get back out, and me being pregnant the idea of going up after him was not a pleasant one. Thank you Marcia!

Ethan's Tooth

Today at school Ethan lost his first tooth. And as luck or tradition would have it just like Ezra's first lost tooth it genuinely is lost. He thinks he may have thrown it away at lunch on his tray. Well we will have to see what the Tooth Fairy thinks of this. He also got his new karate uniform today and he is really proud of both of these things. He has been waiting for so long to lose a tooth.

Today at the park (yes today)

Here a some pictures that I took at the park this morning!

Ok well there you go, twice in one day!

The condensed version......

Of August and September ( and yes this is the condensed version)

Ok let's just say that August and September were really busy. August always is, as we have three birthdays and back to school. August started with us having MegaWeek VBS at church and that was fun but really exhausting to me. Shortly after that was over we made an unscheduled trip to Chicago for a funeral. Aunt Bettie passed away, and we will miss her very much. She was one of those ladies that you look at and think that she will surely be with us forever. She always had a warm smile for everyone. I never knew her to be negative or grouchy. She was a lively spirit, who always encouraged me in everything! She always welcomed us into her home and had something good waiting for us to eat. We got back in town the night before Ethan's 7th birthday. We celebrated by going down to Chuck E Cheese. Flash forward two days and repeat for Elliot's 4th birthday. Yes Chuck E Cheese twice in three days! Fun! Fun! Fun! Next was Ethan's Cowboy party. It was great. He had four little kids over and we did lots of fun things. We panned for gold, roped the steer, had a bear hunt and also tossed snakes into a boot and lizards into a hat! The cake was a horseshoe and all the kids wore cowboy hats and sheriff badges. A few days after that we had a family style party for the two of them. Turn around twice and blink once and there is the end of summer vacation. The first day of school. Ethan is now a first grader and Ezra is a FIFTH grader. For those of you that don't realize it this means it is his last year a Lincoln School. Next year he will be off to Jr High!!!! How did we get there so fast????? We also squeezed in going to the fair. Then it was my birthday and we were able to go out to dinner just the two of us thanks to Mindy. We went to Bennie's and it was yummy. We came home and found out some great news...............Drum roll please........We are having another baby. The projected due date is May 9, 2007. One last thing for August was the Children's Choir Kick Off Carnival at church. It was a blast. There was a clown, cotton candy, popcorn, games, a giant bicycle (of which I did ride) and more.

Ok now for September in a nutshell. We went to the zoo over Labor Day Weekend. Then midmonth I gave a baby shower for my friend Mindy. It went very well minus the bad weather we had. I had my first MOPS meeting of the year which was major! I am in charge of childcare this year instead of creative activities. Did I mention that is childcare for over FIFTY children under the age of FIVE!!!!! It went well thanks to all of my wonderful workers. Ezra joined the band at school (yes that is a fifth grade thing) and he is learning to play the DRUMS! Carter finally got his first haircut. And finally was my moms birthday.
