Off to the Ball............
What a wonderful evening we had at my husband's Battalion Ball.
It was held at the Holiday Inn located in Mt Vernon on Saturday evening.
It certainly had been a long time since we had a chance to get away for an entire night with NO children or babies (not counting our baby in the womb who is obviously attached) ! We were very fortunate to have all four of the boys sleep over with friends and relatives. I was even able to find a maternity evening gown!

It was so much fun to get dressed up and spend the evening together. There was a formal dinner and a wonderful speaker (this is not the norm for military functions). The speaker was really funny and yet touched on very serious topics too. His main point was that random acts of kindness get us all (soldiers and families alike) through the tough times. I must say that I agree one hundred percent and it made me think of all the wonderful things that people have done for our family during past deployments. Sometimes you look back on the deployment times and wonder how you ever managed to get through them, honestly I believe that you just do what you have to do. God always provides the strength needed if we just let him have control in our lives.Here is one more photo of my hubby and I at the ball!
