Put me in coach.............

I'm ready to play...........

Tonight ( Saturday ) was Ezra's first ever baseball game! He did sit the bench for the first few innings but when the coach put him in he did GREAT! He hit the ball and got to first base, then he STOLE 2nd! He aslo got an RBI on that play............His whole face lit up! When he was in the out field the ball came to him and he was able to stop it and throw it into the infield! It was a very exciting night, and we have a very good group of boys. They were so sweet to cheer Ezra on, and tell him how good he did. Pretty impressive for eleven and twelve year old boys. After the game was over, when the coach gave the post game talk, he totally was bragging on Ezra having a great first game and then he gave him the GAME BALL! He can hardly wait until the next game........I bet he went to sleep dreaming about baseball.

A strange find at the park........

I took the three littlest boys to the park yesterday to feed the ducks. It was a great time! I was taking pictures of Elliot and Carter feeding the ducks and this strange goose came up to have a snack and upon a closer look I realized his beak was just not right...........

Carter and Elliot had a great time feeding these friendly birds.....

How can this be?

Above are Corbin's sweet baby feet............

..........and below are Elliot's big four year old feet, and they are filthy!

Isn't it amazing that our kids change so much so quickly. Seems like just yesterday that Elliot's feet were tiny ( and so clean that they were kissable all the time ) like Corbin's. They sure do grow way too fast! Birth to Jr High..........(Ezra) where does the time go????? I will blink and they will all be as old as Ezra. With five boys in the house it can be crazy around here. Perhaps that is why time goes by so fast.

A nice afternoon at the park

Today after making it to church on my own with all five kids I decided that we would celebrate this accomplishment with a picnic lunch ( ok well Happy Meals ) at the newest park in town. It is really nice! We got off to a rough start with Carter falling down in the gravel parking lot, but the boys had a great time. Poor Carter though, he really gave himself some road rash as you can see in the pictures.....

Each of the boys (except Corbin) on the playground.

Ethan & Elliot had a great time pretending in the Pepsi truck........

A very busy Friday

Well what can I say except how did we get here? Friday instead of having picnic day like the K-4th grades the fifth graders from all of the schools go to the Jr High to participate in 5th and 6th grade Field Day. Ezra did the 800 meter relay and the 50 meter dash. He placed in both events and received a ribbon for each. The first shot here is him that morning at home. Also on Friday was Carter and Corbin's end of the year picnic for Baby Talk. The second photo is of us eating at the picnic. Carter had a great time at this, he did bubbles, played in the pool of birdseed, played with sidewalk chalk, had a hot dog and ice cream and a BIG chocolate chip cookie! Lots of fun there. And Ethan had picnic day at his school that day too! The last picture is from that. Yes it was a very busy day and the two littlest ones and I were on the go all day trying to be everywhere at once. I could use a body double on days like this! Ethan was very upset that I was not at his picnic for more than just the last 30 minutes or so. I felt like I needed to be at Ezra's event more since I had just been to Ethan's play and on a field trip with him this week. He did not exactly see eye to eye with me on that but he seems to be over it now.

Fifty Nifty United States

The First Grade performed for their parents this morning. Can you believe that in first grade these kids were able to learn all fifty states. Our teacher has really worked hard with them throughout the year. I can hardly believe that Ethan is almost finished with first grade. Where does the time go? The boys and girls did a great job. The singing was great! I totally remember having to learn that song, but I am sure I was at least in the fourth grade when we did.

Field trip.................

to Mackie's Pizza with the first graders. They each got to make and eat their own pizza! It was a lot of fun. I do however feel bad for the teacher, they all had a lot of pop to drink and he has to spend the rest of the afternoon with them. (they served Pepsi and Mountain Dew) Hats off to him!

Sweet baby feet

A day at the park..........

Carter was invited to his friend's birthday party at the park. He and Ethan had a great time. They played on the playground, played some ball, fed the ducks.....

A great day for it. It was beautiful, even Corbin (who is 18 days old here) was able to enjoy the great outdoors today.

Where did the second week go?

Here is Corbin on day 13. Almost two weeks old now.

One week old.......

Well here is a photo of Corbin at the old age of one week. We came home from the hospital when he was already a few days old so this one week milestone came fast. At one week he is only two ounces shy of his birth weight. Not bad.

Our Fabulous Five..............

I have to say that eleven and a half years ago as I prepared to give birth to our first born son, Ezra, that I never imagined that one day I would have four more wonderful sons. FIVE BOYS............Never a dull moment that is for sure.

~this photo was the morning after Corbin's birth. He is about half a day old~

Announcing Baby Boy # 5

Corbin Dallas made his entrance into the world at 7:19 P.M.
He weighed in at 6 lb. 8 oz. and was 20 inches long. His birth did not go quite as planned but it was one to remember for sure.

Big brother Ethan was there for the delivery and even cut the cord!

Daddy was also there for this one and also Samantha, Jennifer, Mindy, and Grandma and Grandpa Clendenin! The delivery was quick, which is always a good thing. It was not exactly the way I planned it but he is here and doing well and that is what counts. Instead of being born in the water, he came in the floor. When he got ready he just had to be born right where we were. There was not a lot of time to relocate. At least we were at the hospital and in a room.

April has been really hectic.......

What a long month April was for our ever growing family. In the beginning of the month I took Carter on a field trip with Baby Talk. We toured a chocolate factory and then went to a park for a picnic and an Easter Egg Hunt! He had a great time even though he only got ONE purple egg! He was quite proud of that one little egg that had a melted piece of chocolate in it. He also enjoyed playing at the park with
his friends. Here are a few photos from that day.

It was such a beautiful day for a picnic lunch.

A few days after that Elliot had his Easter party at day care. I went to it with him and they had an egg hunt and it was very different with Elliot than with Carter. Elliot got a basket full of candy filled eggs. He had so much fun.

Easter morning, after a visit from the Easter Bunny!

Finally got this thing fixed

Ok sorry for the lapse in updates but I could not locate my blog after I updated to the new version. A lot has occurred since the ball.......................

First up is Carter turning 2!
We celebrated at Chuck E Cheese on his actual birthday.......

Then later in March we had his party. I chose Baby Einstein for the theme and had the big bash at our church. It was a full and very hectic day but it was great fun.

Later that same day I took Ethan, Elliot, and Carter to SI Bowl for their friends birthday party. I am not kidding when I said it was a full day. The three of them sure did enjoy bowling that day. It is too cute they have a separate area with miniature lanes for the little ones to play on.
