Family swim night

Our baby talk group had a family swim night yesterday and we managed to get our entire brood there in swimming attire. Not an easy task either, by a long shot. Even Corbin swam this time and it was his very first time in a pool. Although James is not in any of the photos you can rest assured that this time he was behind the camera. LOL this is usually why I am never in the pictures. We were at the newly renovated Herrin Pool. It has been nicely updated. Elliot and Ezra enjoyed the diving boards and the two of them as well as myself and Ethan enjoyed the water slide.......Poor Carter on the other hand did not care for it. Being the mean old Mommy that I am I sent him down it against his wishes and he may not forgive me for a while about that. I was very surprised at how well Corbin did in the water. He really did well.

Corbin is 3 months old

Oh where does the time go? I cannot believe it but three months have already gone by since Corbin was born. Seems on one hand we have always had him, but on the other it seems like it was just yesterday. He is growing and changing so much. He is now weighing in at 10 pounds 13 ounces. He is a very good baby, no complaints from his Mommy. He has beautiful blue eyes and he smiles so sweet. He now makes a three hour stretch regularly between meals (this is music to my ears) This photo was taken on the floor in the toy room.......after all the other kiddos were soundly sleeping of course. Sad thing about being the fifth baby boy in a family, not a lot of safe floor time. Corbin is such a blessing to our family.

Thanks Terra for helping me with the photo............LOL I guess I should tell everyone that originally the poor dear had a, wee little boogie in his nose. Terra was able to edit it out for me. Thank goodness as it is such a great shot of him.

A much needed update

Ok so I have not been on top of this lately so I will try to condense the month of July into one post so far. I don't know about everyone else but our summer is flying by entirely too fast. I can hardly believe that school starts in just over three weeks (sorry Denise, I know you don't want to hear that either). I just hate to see summer vacation end. I would much rather have all my kids at home, and yes I know that I must be crazy........

Well here is the story on the month of July. We spent the fourth at the Dawson's and then with the Stephenson's for the fireworks. We finished up baseball season for Ezra early in the month and track wrapped up for Ethan by mid month. James and I were able to have some "grown up time" on the 15th thanks to Kim and Daryl who kept all the kids for like seven hours (Corbin went with us, but that is still kid free time in our book)! We went out for lunch and then to a Miner's game with Holly and Abijah. We have to laugh at ourselves for going on that day as it turned out to be kids day at the game and there were all these Cartoon Characters walking around and stuff. We really did enjoy ourselves regardless.........

The pictures seem to be in reverse order but at least they are up ( just for the record i have 2 helpers in my lap whose names start with C, any guesses??)

On Friday we took a trip to the St Louis Zoo with some friends. It was a rainy day but it did not pour or storm on us. Overall it was a great day to visit the zoo.
