Our little Easter Bunny (Corbin)
Carter's Barney Birthday
Well Carter turned three recently and we had a Barney theme for his party. He is at a very fun age for birthdays. He was so excited about each and every thing. All week he would ask, "is it time for my birthday yet? Are my friends coming to my birthday? Let's go to my birthday?"
We had a small party, we only invited a handful of his little friends. Four families actually, but LOL when you gather our families you end up with a lot of people it seems. Here are the highlights of the party:
* purple and green decorations
*I made a Barney cake and Barney suckers
*we colored Barney coloring sheets
*we had a temporary tattoo station
*we decorated our own cookies
*pin the tail on the donkey (Gabby and Lane rock at this game!)
*an egg hunt
*a Pull string Barney pinate ( which was defective~)
*way too much sugar

Good Friday
Our church had a wonderful service Friday evening for Good Friday. It was very informative about how the Last Supper took place. My oldest, Ezra was a part of it. He was the oldest child (fitting huh?)and had to ask four questions and then take the piece of the broken bread to hide it for the little brothers and sisters to find later. Scott really did a great job explaining the details of the Last Supper. We all enjoyed a finger food fellowship afterward, thankfully with yummy foods instead of traditional passover foods!

"Oh me! Oh my! What a lot of funny things go by"
A quote from one of our favorites, One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish
Another Baby Talk Event. This one was a family affair, in the evening. We celebrated the birthday of one of our favorite authors, Dr Seuss. Some of our favorite stories were written by him and The Cat in The Hat was even there for some photo opportunities! We did various themed activities like making Oobleck (which if anyone is curious totally has the properties of both a solid and a liquid, a fun science messy project), getting our faces painted and making our own book all about me. Of course what party would be complete without cake. Below you see that Carter did enjoy that for sure.

Carter and Corbin in the kitchen
With all these boys it seems that I spend a great deal of time each day in the kitchen (ok so that time is not always preparing home made meals but still). Here are some pictures of Carter and Corbin chowing down. Above you will find Carter and his "cheese bun" from McDonalds, this by the way is a cheeseburger, plain, no regular meat. So basically is is a slice of cheese on a bun made my Ronald McDonald, wacky but it is just the way he loves it so I go with it. He is my little vegitarian in training I think. He at one time ate the nuggets but these days he does not eat any meat, well an occasional slice of bacon maybe. He thinks he is a really cool guy in those glasses by the way.
Corbin is next to him munching on some baby Mum-Mums, which are little rice cake like things that are easily dissolved. His favorite for now as he has never tasted McDonald's food. I am sure once he learns that cheeseburgers and fries exist, the rice things will be history. He will definitely need more teeth than he has right now to eat the good stuff.
Below is a photo of Corbin on a different day, one where he was so tired waiting for me to finish helping the big boys with their homework that he just fell asleep right there at the table.
