Carter and Corbin, 9/24/08

Well it was such a beautiful day out today so we played outside for quite a while when we got home from bible study. The little boys decided that we needed to get the slides out and also I opted for the water table. We are trying to get Corbin a bit friendlier with the water. Anyway, they started playing in the water and along comes Shadow, the kitten. She decided that she needed to investigate what they were doing and she was pretty brave. Corbin inched his way over to her and decided that he should just help her get in!!

She was a good sport about it and it was too cute!

Well we still have our Momma cat and one of her babies that we were unable to give away. Recently we seem to have become the lucky recipients of another kitten..........Shadow

It is a very friendly and loving cat. Much more so than our other two. Corbin just loves it and it is very tollerant of the kids. I am not an animal person but I am a softy when I see my kids loving on them.

A compact recap

Ok I realize that I had not updated since the end of April. Our life has been really busy from May forward, not that it was not before then but somehow it has seemed busier! I have posted nearly 2 dozen posts in the last few days to get back on track. I hope that everyone enjoys the photos. I wish I had time to write more on each post but at least I am current again. We will see how long that lasts. Fall is usually a busy time around here.

A night out September 13th 2008

A couple photo.
Rare.
We were at the Sports Blast
in Carbondale, with no kids.
An adult only night out.
Even more rare!

I have to say it was nice to get out with my hubby, but it
was very difficult to watch him in a MMA Cage Fight.

This is one of his passions, so I am here for him.
I won't post the after pictures.....they are brutal.

A visit with Grimace

Our new McDonalds is finally open and there was a visit from certain McDonaldland friends. Ethan had football practice so the group picture has five kids in it but only four are mine. Patti and Dylan went with us and we all had milkshakes and happy meals! Elliot was a little bit freaked out by our large purple friend. He doesn't do characters. Today was also the first official day of my new look. I did bring Ethan back after his practice to see Grimace.

Ok well Elliot has been in Kindergarten for a while but we just got around to taking this picture.......I can just pretend that it was the first day.

Labor Day 2008

Labor Day was spent at my in laws cooking out, fishing and swimming. The boys enjoyed themselves. Carter was really proud of his catch. We celebrated all of the August birthdays as well. Bob and I are getting a bit old but we deserve cake too! So I made a cake and just put all of our names and ages.

Party Time

An army party at the Goofy Golf Course. Ethan and Elliot typically prefer seperate parties but we decided to combine them this year. They quickly agreed on a theme, they both love Army things. LOL I wonder where they get that from? We picked the Goofy Golf location because they both love to play and it would be a super easy party for me. Since we had such an eventful end of summer it was in order. They had a great time with their friends. They even had an army tank pinate!

Hop on in to Third Grade

We got back into our house the night before school started for two big boys. Elliot thankfully was at school the day we moved back in. Ethan was not thrilled about going back to school but he likes his new teacher and has some friends from last year in his class. Overall I think he had a good day, even if it was a rough start. We were really just out of sorts from trying to get back in the house. I just cannot believe how big he is getting...........third grade, oh my!

Elliot turns 6

Posted by Picasa

Fast forward two days and Elliot turns six. We did a similar day for him but we ordered Walt's Pizza instead of going out for it. We just had it delivered right to the pool area (at the Drury) and we spent the evening swimming again. He was thrilled to open his gift, he had been wanting a Nintendo DS Lite for a long time. He is just like the big boys now.........They sure seem to grow up way too fast.

Ethan is 9

Here is a picture of Ethan with his cake and balloon on his 9th Birthday
We were still "homeless" from our water damage so we
were still residing at the Drury Inn
We celebrated his day by eating at his favorite place Pizza and Pasta Express
Then we came "home" to have cake and ice cream at the pool.
It was a bit different than what we normally do but
this summer was full of unusual circumstances.

Army Camp July 20th

Here is Ethan at his first time at sleep away camp, military style! I did not get a photo of Ezra that day. As soon as we found his village he was gone and missed the photo op.

Haircuts in July

Time for a trim....... the boys all (Corbin excluded) needed haircuts since it is July and the weather is really getting hot out!

What an event, with boys.

Its Swingball Baby~

Corbin did not want to be left out of the game! I thought this was a great display of how big he thinks he is.
